The Artist Palette was created to bring art awareness to the community. The art class
environment helps children build self-esteem through personal drawing success and enhance eye-hand coordination as well as an understanding of spatial and
color relationships.
This program also teaches children and young adults to have confidence in themselves, enhance their art skills with their own
ideas and concepts.
Classes are designed for age 2 to adult. Many techniques are taught as well as educating the child in art history and story
telling. Many class hours are available for your convenience. Curriculum
The
Artist Palette is designed to guide and teach the basics of drawing, painting and other fine art mediums. All ages will be encouraged to find their own
style and comfort levels.
Benefits
The Artist Palette teaches a student to
recognize shapes, lines, forms and color through basic skills. They will learn about different artists as well as how to apply those techniques to their
own drawing and paintings.
Media
A variety of
different mediums are used. We use Pen and ink, Charcoal, Pastel, Acrylic Paints, Watercolors, Colored Pencils, Markers and Crayons along with a variety
of paper. All materials are combined or used separately to offer students experience in mixed media projects. All materials are included with the classes.

Fine Art I – ages 9-15

II – ages 16-25
Senior Citizens and Homeschoolers
The Artist Palette also offers Therapeutic Art to ages 3-12. Therapeutic art is dedicated to
individuals with a variety of learning disabilities and children on the Autistic Spectrum.
Birthday parties and Private classes are also
offered.
An open studio will be available on Sundays.
About
The Owner
I have a B.A. in Art Therapy and in Fine Art from Anna Maria College. I am mostly a self taught artist with formal training at the Museum
School of Fine Arts, Boston, DeCordova Art Museum, Lincoln MA. Boston Center for the Arts, Boston and Anna Marie College, Paxton MA. I have studied with
various artists through private lessons. I have been associated with the Visiting Artist Studio since 1998 and The Blackstone Valley Art Association since
2001. I have received several awards through these organizations. I have had numerous showings and exhibits throughout New England and have sold many of
my works.
I am the owner and art instructor of The Artist Palette, where I have been teaching fine art workshops to children and adults since
2001. For the past few years I have included small groups, one on one and therapeutic art classes.
